First strikes are your ticket to meaningful coin collecting. Whether you are a new or established coin collector, 2021 is the right time to invest. These small treasures embody the culture and history of the time, locking in nostalgia for years to come. Pristinely preserved collectible coins start in the same place: first strike coin rolls, with every coin’s artistic details sealed in to last a lifetime.
The Proof Is in the Premium Wrapping
Each year that passes by brings many new experiences. This is true for all Canadians, and the reminder of every year’s uniqueness is emblazoned on the face of each Canadian coin that enters circulation. Colonial Acres Coins recognizes the value of preserving these moments in time, so we give you access to first strike, uncirculated coins.
The 2021 Special Wrap Roll Collection includes all five of the circulating denominations. They are among the first 5,000 rolls to be struck at the Royal Canadian Mint‘s Winnipeg presses. Rolls can be purchased in the stunning set, or you can pick and choose individual rolls.
Brilliant uncirculated coins gleam in a way that others cannot, and special roll paper seals in that shine. The rolling ensures the legitimacy of the piece, with all coins issued contained securely within. Each roll is topped off with a holographic label and placed in an elegant presentation case.
2021 is the perfect year to start adding to your modern coin collection. Every year, unprecedented events go down in the history books, and your coin rolls serve as a time capsule. Future generations will marvel at the condition of the coins you have collected, clueing them in to a time important to you.
Celebrate 2021 With Canadian Icons
Coins are a fabulous way to mark a new year. After an arduous 2020, you deserve a sparkling memento. Claim a snapshot of 2021 that will last a lifetime. There is a limited supply of these rolls because they are genuine first strikes. The Canadian icons captured by various artists in this multi-metal 2021 lot include:
- Polar bear
- Common loon
- Caribou
- Bluenose ship
- Beaver
The polar bear adorns the $2 coin, symbolizing Canada’s special bond with this Arctic predator. Most polar bears in existence inhabit Canadian territory. This massive yet vulnerable bear elicits feelings of strength and endurance, a demonstration of Canada’s fierce resilience. This symbol was first introduced in 1996, and it is well preserved on this nickel and brass-plated piece of art by Brent Townsend.
The common loon is brought to life on the $1 coin by artist Robert-Ralph Carmichael. Solitary in its grace, this bird has been a symbol of Canadian culture since the 1987 debut of the “loonie.” The caribou image on the 25-cent coin depicts these elusive creatures that roam Canadian lands, dating back to coin faces of 1937.
Emanuel Hahn designed the stoic caribou, as well as the ever-nautical Bluenose. This schooner sails across the 10-cent coin. The majestic silhouette of this classic fishing and racing vessel has existed on the water since 1921 and on the dime since 1937. Named after a common nickname for those born in Nova Scotia, the original Bluenose was designed by William J. Roué and remains a fixture of Canadian maritime scenes.
Wrapping up the collection on the 5-cent coin is the age-old Canadian beaver. This depiction, by G. E. Kruger-Gray, is another classic, dating back to 1937. The beaver was crowned as an official Canadian emblem in 1975. Beavers are one of the only animals to create their own dwellings, symbolizing the sovereignty and industriousness of Canada.
