Canada Day is one of the most celebrated holidays in our country each year. It’s more than a birthday, although it’s usually referred to as Canada’s birthday. On July 1, 1867, Canada joined provinces to create the “Dominion of Canada.” This gave the country more political rights and governance, ultimately leading to its sovereignty. Today, this anniversary is celebrated throughout Canada and around the world. National Colours

This $100 commemorative coin released in 2021 is a 99.99% pure silver coin that had a mintage of just 800. It’s a coin that celebrates the maple leaf, probably the most recognizable symbol of Canada.

The reverse of the coin depicts leaves from different maple species. Over 100 maple species exist globally, with 10 of them indigenous to Canada:
